Meet the Author

Karen is a lifelong artist, painter, photographer, animal lover, and now a debut children's author. For as long as she can remember, she has found inspiration in the world around her, especially in animals, nature, and the simple moments that often become the most meaningful stories.

Her love of animals, children, storytelling, and art eventually came together in Oslo's Adventures, a children's book series inspired by the idea that even the smallest adventures can teach us some of life's biggest lessons.

The first book, A New Home Isn't So Scary, introduces Oslo, a puppy facing the uncertainty of a new home, and his big brother Max, who helps him discover that new beginnings can be a little less scary when someone you trust is by your side.

Now, as Karen debuts as a children's author, she hopes to bring young readers stories filled with heart, imagination, humor, and gentle lessons about courage, friendship, family, and finding your way in the world.

Oslo's Adventures is the beginning of a journey Karen has been carrying in her imagination for years, and she can't wait to see where Oslo and Max go next.

Meet the Illustrator

Angela T. Baron (A. T. Baron) is a children's author, illustrator, and zoologist who turned a childhood hatred of reading into a career creating whimsical animal stories for young readers. With a B.S. in Zoology from Texas A&M, she brings scientific knowledge and real wildlife experience to her tales and illustrations. Founder of Otter Things® and Bluebird Ambassador for the New York State Bluebird Society, her artwork has been featured by the IUCN/SSC Otter Specialist Group, the National Science Teaching Association, and the New York State DEC.

When she's not writing, illustrating, or monitoring bluebird boxes, she's plotting world domination with her army of squirrels from her home in western New York, where she lives with her husband and an overabundance of creative chaos.
